Description
Eastern Air Express is looking for a full-time Flight Catering Agent based at Miami International Airport. This role plays a key part in supporting the Flight Operations team by ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Reporting to the Flight Operations Duty Manager, responsibilities include maintaining stock and inventory of inflight supplies, organizing and restocking aircraft daily, managing supply orders, and coordinating the pickup and delivery of crew meals for all flights.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Flight Catering Agent, you will ensure that all inflight supplies, including food, beverages, and other service items, are consistently available and properly stored while regularly checking stock levels to maintain optimal inventory for daily operations. You will accept and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring that all supplies are correctly accounted for, undamaged, and stored according to company guidelines while organizing inventory in an orderly and efficient manner for easy access. Monitoring inventory levels and notifying management promptly when supplies are running low or nearing expiration will be essential to ensure timely restocking and avoid shortages. Daily preparation and replenishment of all required inflight supplies will be part of your role, ensuring each aircraft is fully stocked with the necessary items for the comfort and service of passengers and crew. You will also coordinate the timely pickup and delivery of meals for airline crew members, ensuring that meals are available and delivered to the appropriate gates or aircraft for both domestic and international flights. Additionally, you will perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as required by management to support the smooth and efficient operation of the catering service, including assisting with special requests or unexpected needs.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. A valid state driver’s license is required, along with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must have the ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and work in physically demanding and uncomfortable conditions. Proven reliability, a positive professional attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment are essential. A uniform is required for the position. Additionally, candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment testing, including drug screening and a physical examination.
