Ascend Airways is looking for Senior Cabin Crew based in Gatwick. This vital role involves overseeing cabin crew staff during flights, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to the airline’s values and standards. Senior Cabin Crew play a key part in delivering first-class customer service, contributing to the company's branding and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Cabin Crew, you will be responsible for receiving flight information from the flight deck and leading pre-flight briefings to delegate duties and positions to each crew member for the duration of the flight. You will prepare the cabin for takeoff, ensure the safety and comfort of all Ascend Airways passengers, and complete all mandatory regular checks during the flight. Enforcing compliance with safety protocols and procedures while providing exceptional levels of customer service to all passengers is essential. Additionally, you will manage junior Cabin Crew members on board the aircraft and must be willing to spend longer periods of time away from home.
Compensation: £25,000 per year, plus £5 Flight Pay
Requirements
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English, with knowledge of additional languages being desirable. A valid UK CAA Cabin Crew Attestation is preferred. Candidates must have the ability and confidence to swim 25 meters unassisted and possess at least one year of proven experience in a Senior Cabin Crew role. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, along with problem-solving abilities and the capability to think quickly under pressure. Experience in teamwork, supervision, and maintaining a professional attitude is required. Knowledge of medical first aid is necessary, though updated medical training will be provided by Ascend Airways. Applicants must have the unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom, hold a valid Cabin Crew Medical and passport permitting unrestricted worldwide travel, and possess necessary vaccination certificates. Satisfactory background and DBS screening checks are also required.
