Air New Zealand is looking for a Cabin Crew Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Auckland. Reporting to the Senior Manager Cabin Crew Widebody, this role offers the opportunity to lead and support the cabin crew team while ensuring operational excellence and high service standards.
The Cabin Crew Manager oversees a team of approximately 100 direct reports, including flight attendants and onboard leaders. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders across the business, including unions, to drive operational changes and initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your leadership skills while contributing to a high-performing team in a dynamic and complex operational environment.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have proven leadership experience managing a large team and a strong passion for people, contributing to a positive and engaged workplace culture. An understanding of shift work and the ability to lead a remote workforce is essential, requiring a flexible and determined approach suited to the 24/7 nature of the business. Strong business partnering skills are necessary to build open and effective relationships with union partners. The role demands the ability to manage a high workload, prioritize tasks effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team. While experience in the aviation industry is preferred, it is not essential.
