    British Airways offers a permanent contract with a competitive basic salary of £19,034, with the potential to earn up to £28,000 annually through flying/duty pay and a tax-free subsistence allowance.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure operational safety, security, and health responsibilities are performed to the highest standards in compliance with UK CAA regulations, BA Cityflyer requirements, and all other relevant legislation.
    • Maintain safety compliance at all times, including adherence to Safety & Equipment Procedures (recency) training.
    • Deliver world-class service excellence aligned with our service standards and behaviors.
    • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation.
    • Act as a BA Cityflyer role model to crew, colleagues, and customers, adhering to uniform standards.
    • Build effective working relationships with colleagues and service partners to foster teamwork.

    Requirements

    • Aged 18 or over at the time of application.
    • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
    • At least 12 months of customer service experience.
    • Hold a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity, allowing unrestricted global travel.
    • Undergo a Criminal Record Check for all residences over the last five years and provide satisfactory references.
    • Able to obtain and retain an airside pass.
    • Willing to work shifts, including 24/7 availability, and spend time away from home for stand-by duties near your airport base.
    • Wear the British Airways uniform to required standards, with no visible tattoos or body piercings. Tattoos must be coverable without plasters or bandages.
    • Successfully complete initial training to obtain a UK CAA Cabin Crew Attestation.
    • Understand the importance of safety and security for BA Cityflyer customers.

    Physical Requirements

    • Medically and physically fit to meet regulatory and role requirements (requires BA Health Service Medical Assessment).
    • Ability to pass Safety Equipment & Procedures (SEP) training if you have a colour vision deficit, including a functional assessment to safely perform crew duties.
    • Height between 1.575m (5’2”) and 1.85m (6’1”), with proportional weight and a vertical functional reach of at least 2.01m (6’7”).
    • Capable of performing CPR, including kneeling astride a person in a restricted space of 46cm (18”), applying pressure to a depth of 5-6cm (2.5”), for 30 compressions over 2 minutes minimum.
    • Able to lift 9kg (20lb) from a height of 195cm (78”), equivalent to lifting a medical kit from an aircraft overhead locker.
    • Able to wear and secure a lifejacket as per manufacturer's instructions.
    • Capable of treading water while fitting a lifejacket and pulling your bodyweight into a life raft.
    • Able to pull a fully loaded trolley weighing up to 86kg (13.5st) on an incline of up to 3 degrees.
    • Fit into an aircraft jump seat harness without a seatbelt extension.
    • Stand in a 51cm x 51cm (20” x 20”) area without impeding evacuation routes.
    • Swim 50m (55 yards), tread water for 3 minutes, and assist people in the water.
    • Lift up to 28kg (4st) to remove an emergency overwing window and exit quickly.
    • Confident working with heights, including descending an aircraft escape slide (4 meters above ground).
    • Prepared to remove headwear in emergencies to use protective breathing equipment promptly.
    • Compliance with UK CAA regulations, including attestation requirements within the last 5 years (EASA attestations from EU member states not accepted in the UK).
    • Remain calm in emergencies, take control, and execute safety procedures effectively.
    • Perform operational safety, security, and health responsibilities per the Company Operations Manual and relevant legislation.
    • Report safety issues through proper channels, adhering to the “Just Safety Culture.”
    • Deliver world-class service aligned with British Airways standards and behaviors.
    • Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures in compliance with relevant legislation.
