Description
Rex is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Flight Attendants to join its team, based in Perth. The ideal candidates are independent, self-reliant, and capable of managing the entire cabin alone, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight. Customer focus is essential, as solo Flight Attendants will handle their own cabin, offering caring and personalized service while traveling to unique destinations across Australia. Attention to detail and a strong safety mindset are crucial to manage in-flight services while upholding high safety standards and adhering to aviation regulations.
Key duties include conducting equipment and security checks, making in-flight announcements, serving food and beverages, performing cleaning tasks, and managing various cabin situations independently. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding experience with a strong sense of team spirit.
The role provides a balanced work/life schedule, competitive remuneration, and involves working on weekends, public holidays, early and late shifts, and occasional nights away from home.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency. Should have completed a minimum of three years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, or have worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least three of the past five years. Alternatively, candidates can qualify if they have worked in the UK, Ireland, or the USA for three of the last five years, or have achieved an overall grade of 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Candidates must be eligible to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), which includes a police security check, and hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011). Prior flying experience is not necessary, as extensive training will be provided.
Applicants should be no taller than 173 cm and capable of swimming unaided and fully clothed (a swim assessment will be conducted). Flexibility is essential, as working hours will vary and include holidays and peak periods. A high level of personal presentation, a natural willingness to assist and care for people, and prior experience in customer service are also required for this role.
