    Perimeter Aviation Flight Attendants play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and comfortable flight experience for all passengers. As ambassadors of safety and customer service, they strive to create a positive and lasting impression.

    Flight Attendants participate in pre-flight briefings to obtain essential flight information and conduct thorough checks of the aircraft to ensure all safety equipment and supplies are in place. During the flight, they make safety announcements and demonstrations, prepare the cabin for take-off and landing, and offer a selection of snacks and beverages. Additionally, they are responsible for managing revenue and providing leadership and assistance to both passengers and colleagues.

    Beyond in-flight duties, Flight Attendants also contribute to the overall efficiency of the operation. This includes tasks such as cabin preparation and grooming, pre-flight and post-flight paperwork, and stocking the aircraft commissary. They are expected to adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a calm and effective demeanor, even in stressful situations.

    To qualify for the role of Perimeter Aviation Flight Attendant, individuals must successfully complete a three-week initial training program, which includes both written and practical exams. Sensitivity to the unique environmental, cultural, and business needs of diverse northern cultures and communities 1 is also essential.

    Requirements

    To qualify for the role of Perimeter Aviation Flight Attendant, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least one to two years of customer service experience. While a university or college education is considered an asset, it is not a strict requirement.

    Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in additional languages is also valued. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are crucial for success in this role. Candidates should have a positive attitude, be able to work independently, and maintain a calm and effective demeanor in stressful situations. Teamwork, conscientiousness, confidence, and a can-do attitude are also important qualities.

    Flexibility is key, as Flight Attendants may be required to work up to 14-hour days, including weekends and statutory holidays. Travel is an inherent part of the job.

    Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents with a valid passport. Additionally, they must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program. Finally, candidates must meet the necessary aviation medical standards.
