Key Responsibilities:
As a Flight Attendant, you will participate in preflight briefings, produce reports, perform safety checks, and prepare the aircraft. You will ensure that food, beverages, and other supplies are on board, sufficiently stocked, and delivered appropriately, while also collecting payments or providing inventory for restocking when necessary. Your duties include making announcements, greeting customers, checking boarding passes, answering passenger questions, assisting with bag stowage, and helping those needing assistance. You will perform safety demonstrations, instruct customers on emergency equipment and exit row seating requirements, and use audio equipment. Walking the aisles to verify customer compliance with federal regulations before takeoff and landing, as well as conducting periodic checks to ensure customer comfort, are part of your role. You will prepare customers and the aircraft for landing in accordance with company procedures and federal regulations. In the event of in-flight emergencies, you will provide necessary direction and assistance to passengers, administer emergency first aid, and complete injury or incident reports. Additionally, you are expected to complete and submit all required forms, reports, and paperwork, treat all customers and vendors with courtesy and respect, and perform any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age and hold a high school diploma, GED, or higher. Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English is required. Previous customer service experience is essential, with hospitality or retail experience preferred. Candidates must be available to attend and successfully complete Initial Flight Attendant training and Operational Experience, and be available for at least twenty days per month. A personal cell phone must be maintained at all times. The ability to travel to Canada and maintain valid travel documents without any restrictions preventing entry to international destinations is required. Candidates must be able to work variable blocks of duty days each month, which may include extended periods away from the home base including nights, weekends, and holidays. A polished, professional, and conservative appearance is mandatory, with no visible tattoos or body piercings allowed while on duty, without exception. The role demands the ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a dynamic environment, as well as the physical ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, stretch, or bend for periods of up to 14 hours or more. Passing drug and alcohol checks, a pre-employment DOT drug test, and a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) is required. Candidates must hold a valid U.S. passport that will not expire within six months and have authorization to work in the United States.
