    Mesa Airlines Flight Attendants create the first and last impression for passengers. They must be reliable, punctual, and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service in all situations. Their positive, approachable, and accommodating demeanor is essential for creating a welcoming and comfortable onboard experience. Flight Attendants must have a deep understanding of safety procedures, service standards, and company policies to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of our passengers. Their responsibilities include greeting passengers, assisting with boarding, ensuring safety equipment is known and used correctly, serving refreshments, and addressing passenger needs, including those with special requirements. By adhering to company policies and maintaining a professional appearance, Flight Attendants contribute to a positive and memorable travel experience.

    Bases:

    Current crew bases include Washington, D.C. (IAD), Houston, TX (IAH), Phoenix, AZ (PHX), and Louisville, KY (SDF). However, these bases are subject to change. New hires will be assigned to one of these bases during their training period. The location for this position will be determined based on the company's operational needs and the seniority of the applicant.

    Mesa Air Group offers a competitive compensation package that includes comprehensive health plans, travel benefits, bonuses, and more. Flight Attendants start at $18.67 per flight hour, with pay increasing to $20.24 after six months and $22.22 after 12 months. Annual pay increases are also available. The average earnings for a Flight Attendant in the first year of employment are approximately $22,000.

    In addition to the base salary, Flight Attendants can earn extra income through various opportunities, such as the crash-pad assistance program and hotel reimbursements. By utilizing these options, Flight Attendants can earn an additional $500 monthly, totaling $6,000 annually.


    Requirements

    To be eligible for this position, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. College credits or at least two years of customer service experience are preferred. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and dependability, as well as fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. After completing training, they must be willing to relocate or commute to any of Mesa Airlines' crew bases, as needed. Applicants should be prepared to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

    Regarding physical requirements, candidates must be between 4'11'' and 6' tall without shoes and able to reach overhead bins and galley compartments. They must also be capable of performing safety-related procedures, such as operating aircraft doors, lifting emergency window exits, assisting with baggage, and operating meal and beverage carts. A clean, neat, and professional appearance is essential. Applicants should be able to sit comfortably in the flight attendant jumpseat, walk down the aisle facing forward, and fit through the overwing exits. They must have at least 20/40 vision, corrected or uncorrected, and be authorized to work in the United States. A valid passport is required, as well as the legal ability to travel unrestricted to and from all countries served by Mesa Airlines. Applicants must have authorization for multiple entries into the United States. Finally, they must successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprinting and a criminal history check, and pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings.
