Air Arabia is conducting Cabin Crew recruitment in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Key Responsibilities:
As a Cabin Crew, you will ensure timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights while attending pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, roles, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures. You will instruct passengers on safety procedures to ensure their safety and comfort at all times, identify safety and security risks, and collaborate with the Cabin Supervisor to take remedial action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Administering first aid when necessary, promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions, and assisting passengers during boarding formalities while recording necessary data in the aircraft logbook are also part of your responsibilities. You will provide excellent customer service by attending to pre-bookings, requests, and passenger needs, identifying and assisting those experiencing stress or difficulties, and contributing to onboard revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by promoting onboard meals, products, and charity services to achieve sales targets. Ensuring proper handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations, performing pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other necessary items, and reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain are essential duties. You will also assist in maintaining cabin cleanliness at transit stations, ensuring adequate re-catering and duty-free products, overseeing the handover and takeover process with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff, and conducting post-flight briefings and reports while evaluating the Cabin Supervisor, reporting discrepancies, and ensuring duty-free containers are properly sealed. As part of your role, you will be accountable for passenger conduct, assume Cabin Supervisor duties when assigned by the Captain, maintain professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training and emergency procedures workshops, and contribute to team efforts by achieving operational objectives and sales targets.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be between 20 to 33 years old and hold a Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate, with a diploma in Travel or Tourism considered a plus. Fluency in written and spoken English and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, while previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the airline, aviation, or hospitality industries is an added advantage. An active cabin crew license is beneficial. Candidates must be medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties, with training in first aid, safety, and emergency procedures considered a plus. They must be fit to fly, in good general health, and free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases. The minimum height requirement is 160 cm for females and 170 cm for males, with weight proportionate to age and height. Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform is necessary. Candidates must be able to swim with the aid of a flotation device, work in shift patterns and extended hours, and demonstrate high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules. They must also contribute effectively and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
