WestJet Encore is seeking full-time Cabin Crew Members to join its team in Calgary. As a Cabin Crew Member, you'll be the face of the company, representing its culture and values. Your primary responsibilities will be to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of guests and crew, while also providing exceptional guest service. You'll operate safety and emergency equipment, handle first aid situations, and manage uncomfortable situations with de-escalation techniques. Additionally, you'll uphold high standards of guest service both in-flight and on the ground, completing service and sales tasks in accordance with WestJet Encore's guidelines.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, applicants must be at least 19 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary education being an asset. The ability to communicate proficiently in both written and spoken English is mandatory, and bilingualism in languages such as French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Punjabi, Hindi, Tagalog, or Korean is considered an asset. A current valid passport is required, or alternatively, a Canadian Permanent Resident card along with all necessary individual visas to perform the duties of a Cabin Crew Member wherever WestJet Encore operates. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Pass, which requires a 5-year traceable history, a clear criminal record, and Canadian citizenship or a Permanent Resident Card. A minimum of 5 years of experience in providing exceptional customer service is necessary, as well as the ability to solve problems and make quick decisions in the interest of crew and guests. Applicants must be comfortable working in confined spaces and flexible enough to work a varied schedule. A clear criminal background check and an Alcohol & Drug test are required, as well as the ability to reach 183 cm (72 inches) flat-footed without shoes, due to emergency equipment requirements. The height must be 6’2” or less, including footwear with a maximum 2-inch heel. Applicants must pass a functional assessment, which includes lifting 50 pounds from floor to waist and 22 pounds overhead. Functional capabilities must meet the essential functions of the Cabin Crew Member role. Successful completion of a 5-week full-time initial training program in Calgary, along with annual training and any additional training deemed necessary by the company, is required. Applicants must also complete a first aid course prior to initial training at their own expense. This role requires travel away from home, including overnight stays, and flexibility to work any shift, as the airline industry operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round. Applicants must also be available for on-call shifts and holding reserve and be able to adhere to strict uniform standards.
